Do Away With School Uniforms

I think there should be no dress code in schools. Some argue that without a dress code, differences of class, caste and creed might be visibly on display, which would distract the students from learning. I say that more than learning about the academic subjects, it is far more important for students to learn to live harmoniously with each other amidst all such differences. If they don’t learn those things in schools, will they not be taken by nasty surprise when they encounter the real world as adults. Let us not teach out students lies about the situation in our societies. It is not all hunky-dory. Sooner they realise this and come to terms with it the better prepared they will be for life.
