In this day and age
I am almost afraid to say
Women interest me no more
If you know what I mean;
But, for crying out loud
What’s with those pleasures
That seem to tie us down
For lifetimes without respite
And yet, when examined
However pleasureable
Be those pleasures
They cannot find a foothold
In a mind that’s seasoned
In the understanding
Of the true source
Of happiness and peace
That puts to shame
All pleasures however pleasurable.
