The heart has its own secrets
Its own incessant demands
It tells you so very assuredly
Without a certain someone
It just cannot get along
I am unable to get along
With my demanding heart
I wish it wasn’t a spoilt brat
Throwing temper tantrums
I wish it would realize
Its job is to pump blood
And nothing beyond that.
