Enter only such field of study
Or only such profession
Or only such job or line of work
If intrinsically rewarding it is for you.
Shun it if it interests not thee
Bring it though it may to you
Wealth, prestige, and power
For it'll not enrich your soul.
Doing the work you love
You'll be so fulfilled, so fulfilled
You will scorn to trade it
Even for the estate of kings.
Doing the work you love
You'll be so fulfilled, so fulfilled
Stress and worry will be at bay
As you will be in flow, in the zone.
But most are timid and fearful
Opting for safety and security
Only to realize towards the end
What a bad bargain they struck.
Few indeed are those who are wise
Choosing to follow their metier
And discover towards the end
They did not do that badly after all.
Long story short, to enjoy your work
Do only such work that you enjoy doing.
