There was a time not that long ago
Reading Plato, Nietzsche and their ilk
Would fill my being with unalloyed joy
Now my soul has found its mooring
The mist’s been cleared from my eyes
Uninfatuated am I now with the world
I drink from the fountain of myself
Discovering truths hidden deep within
Revealing to me in no uncertain measure
The abode of Truth lies beyond thought
Falling silent, I risk being taken for a fool.
