I've had enough of this world
Seeking what shall I be busy
Nothing seems of much interest
Neither friendships nor romance
Neither conversations in cafes
Nor any evening with a beloved
Neither a walk in the park
Nor the sight of a sunset
Neither any scientific discoveries
Nor any well-thought-out theories
Neither any social media
Nor any OTT
Neither the daily newspaper
Nor 3QuarksDaily
Such being the case
Best it is to be alone
With no clamour of thinking
Adios then amigos
Though we will keep meeting
When the need arises
Or destiny so wills it.
