Each to His Own
I envy not the youth
They have their reasons
To look at life in the eye;
As for myself,
I prefer to turn my gaze away.
Breaking the Vicious Cycle
Ignorance leads to desires
Desires leads to thoughts
Thoughts lead to actions
Actions lead to results
Results create fresh desires
Unless ignorance ends due to knowledge
Knowledge puts an end to desires.
When Will We Be Ready To Die?
Death can come calling anytime
No matter what one’s age
Yet we hold on to our dreams
Hold on to our future plans
What matters it what we did
What matters it what we didn’t
Yes, there may be karma for all
And we will keep returning
But how long and how many lives
Will it take to satisfy us fully.
