The older I get, the funnier I feel
Life seems like a silly dream
I damn myself for taking it seriously
And smile at those who still do.
The older I get, the wiser I feel
I seem like I don’t actually exist
Except as a thought and few memories
Making me wonder who I really am.
The older I get, the less I care
Ignoring much of what people want
I live my life quietly all by myself
Musing sometimes on companionship.
