The natural sciences, such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc., anyway deal with matter and how to advance life and make it comfortable.
But, why we are living, how we should live, how we can improve our lives, what is the good life, how we can be more loving towards ourselves and each other etc., are matters dealt with by the social sciences and humanities.
However, all these sciences, whether they be natural or social, and the humanities, accept the reality of the human, qua body-mind, and the reality of this world.
A little reasoning and analysis will show you the falsity of that presumption, and one is left amused as to how seriously we took our knowledge of the sciences and humanities all along.
