We are too mechanical, too unthinking, doing things because that is how things are supposed to be done, because that is how everyone else does it.
It is almost as if there is an algorithm operating inside us by whose logic and rules we are living.
No freshness, no questioning, no nothing.
Just blind living.
And, hanging on to tradition, we are blinded to the mistakes we are committing in the present.
Why?
Because we feel, the evil has already been overcome, which is why we say we are celebrating Dussehra.
Is there no evil right now amidst us, nay within ourselves, within each one of us?
And yet, we go on celebrating as if everything has already been accomplished, and we can eat, drink and make merry on the occasion of Dussehra, or indeed any other such festival.
Jaago barkhurdar, jaago.
