The Mind and “Me”

The mind is a book (some would argue it is also the author) in which a fictional story called The World is being written dynamically, in which there is a fictional character called “me”. The question is, “Who is reading the book called The World that is being written and stored in the mind and where we are accessing it?”

That reader is the real “me”, the “Knower”. But right now I am caught up in a fictional character called Samarender as “me”, and hence the joys and sorrows of “Samarender” become “My” joys and sorrows. But, strictly speaking the “Reader” is unaffected by the joys and sorrows of any and every fictional character in a book.

Think about it.
