Visitor: What is the purpose of life?
Ramana Maharshi: To seek to know the significance of life is itself the result of good karma in past births. The only useful purpose of the present birth is to turn within and realise it. There is nothing else to do. Those who do not seek such knowledge are simply wasting their lives.
