My younger brother called just now from the US and was reminding me about today’s T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
I told him I want Pakistan to win.
He chuckled uncomprehendingly.
I told him hidden in the “naa” are all the troubles of this world…naa shariram, naa manasu, naa hrudayam, naa alochanalu, naa dreams, naa kutumbham, naa kulam, naa matham, naa desham.
Hence, I told him I want to overcome this illusion of “naa” and root for Pakistan today, because Vasudaiva Kutumbhakam implies all Pakistanis are my brothers and sisters even if they do not think so. After all it is NOT the fault of Pakistanis BUT the fault of Islam that it has divided the world into believers and kaafirs.
Say nah to naa.
