Today morning
Fifteen minutes into it
I slipped and fell
Flat on my back
The whole length of my body
Sprawled on the floor
With the right ankle
Seemingly a wee bit twisted
Though I was none the worse for it
But it makes me think
And makes me afraid
That we are forever every minute
Skating on thin ice.
