Love ain’t enough
No, it ain’t enough
Neither is reason
Nor words of any kind
Nor memories fresh
Nothing calms the soul
Other than a wistful withdrawal
Into one’s own Being
To find therein
An erasure of every longing
Intertwined inextricably
With a non-lonely aloneness.
