To withdraw into myself
Is an ever-present impulse;
I can barely feel these days
Only the embers are left;
Emotions are a roller-coaster
Whose ride one isn't drawn to;
When you have seen life
For what it is
And what it is not
You can barely take seriously
Whatever seems to drive mankind.
