God Here, There and Everywhere

The one who tries to vilify me

Is God himself in that form.

The one who comes to harm me

Is God himself in that form.

The one who litigates against me

Is God himself in that form.

The one who points a gun at me

Is God himself in that form.

The one who maligns my name

Is God himself in that form.

The one who ruins my reputation

Is God himself in that form.

He who understands this secret

Is at peace and knows well what to do

Knows when to take up arms

Knows when to forgive with a smile

With no rancour against the enemy

Whatever form that enemy takes

And what in this world can harm

Such a one who lives by this philosophy

Caring not if harm should befall him

For he knows the ways of God are just

And when the world is an illusion

Why take anything seriously at all?
