Jesus bore the cross
For mankind’s sins
But, I, and maybe you,
We bear the cross
For our own sins
Sins of this life
And of countless past lives
Sins I have long forgotten
I do not even recall clearly
Those from this life
But maybe the greatest sin
Is to think you are the doer
Thereby casting aspersions
On God’s omnipotence.
