She told me she never feels lonely
Never feels the need for any companion
But truth be told, I, too, am like that
Never feel lonely, never need companionship
Though lately I have felt the need for companionship
But less than such a need it was more of a need in me to respond
To the need for companionship that I saw in the other
Maybe such a need in the other was what I merely imagined
But however much company we can give to each other
In the end it unravels, for one reason or another
And thereby we learn to find our way by ourselves
So that we learn that we are complete in ourselves
Not needing another to complete us in any manner–
“Oṃ pūrṇamadaḥ pūrṇamidaṃ pūrṇāt pūrṇamudacyate
Pūrṇasya pūrṇamādāya pūrṇamevāvaśiṣyate
Oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ”.
