A cousin WhatsApped me saying, “Maybe I will email you to find out your BMI welfare.”
I replied on WhatsApp itself as follows:
BMI (Body-Mind-Intellect) welfare is good…a few emotional ups and downs, which have now come on even keel…I have fully retired…and trying to go into my summa iru phase from 16th, day after…I do not see any blocks to it…I am done with life and I do not mean that in an emotional sense but in the sense of having got clarity that I do not see what else one can want in life apart from having the security to keep this body going…
You may ask what about relationships with people…I have seen that most people are caught up too much in themselves etc., so these days I do not find much value in any of my relationships, plus they are “too much into life and living”, which I am not, so I can only tread on their toes…so best to keep aloof, which also aids my summa iru…
However much we relate to others, in the end what do we get from it…not much…maybe life will seem a lot more pleasant if we are with the right persons…but is pleasantness what we are seeking? Of course, nothing wrong if that is what one wants…but remember that Kathopanishad verse about shreyas and preyas…
I wish you well…I hope your BMI is also doing great, though strictly speaking they are NOT “OUR” BMIs, because the “I Am” that is taking itself to be a particular BMI itself does not belong to itself but to the “Real I” or The Absolute of which it is a reflection, and in a strange way we are that Absolute, so why bother about BMI…
So, as I remind myself and tell some people these days now and then, we should have Bhagat Singh like courage where we do not fear death..then what problems can be left in our life? None, none whatsoever…ask Hobbes the political philosopher and he will confirm what I am saying about fear of death as the central problem (“life is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short”)…or indeed any homeless man…
So, keep the mind and heart empty and start experiencing the peace that passeth understanding…
