Love often does not stay as love for too long.
Love converts itself into desire and attachment to the person or object that one desires.
That is where the corruption sets in.
I am not saying that love can be so ethereal and pure that it is not looking for any “desire” fulfilment or some kind of satisfaction, but that that is not its primary goal when love is pure.
Desire fulfilment or any kind of satisfaction is only a byproduct or side effect of love, so even if such is not there or does not happen, love remains love.
Only such pure love can dismantle the structure and defenses of ego and aid one’s progress on the path to truth.
