The Longing for Nonexistence!

People are full of life
I am full of death
Wishing to not exist
Epicurus told it so well
“In death you are not
So who is left to regret death
And if you are in death
That cannot be death
Why then stupidly fear death?”
Where is suffering lodged
Where else but in life
If you do not exist, as in death,
How can you ever suffer
The moment you are born
Suffering gets underway
Or at least gets its full scope
And hardly anyone on earth
Who does not suffer somewhat
Yet we cling dearly to life
Thinking it is a good thing
Forming relationships and memories
How long can any of them last
Only until the worm finds you as food.
