I have always given myself carte blanche, kind of.
So, what’s new now?
This time it’s a bit different because it might impact some people in my life.
At the same time, my carte blanche is not really violating this principle: “The right to swing my fist ends where the other man’s nose begins.” – U.S. Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
So, what is the carte blanche that I am giving myself?
In short, what is it that I want to do?
Spend everyday after 12 noon in solitude. (with some exceptions, of course, as every rule has some exceptions, so some days I may not do that, but most days I would)
How will that solitude evolve?
Mostly through paying attention to the “I am”, as advocated by Nisargadatta Maharaj.
What is the “I am”, and why and how does one pay attention to the “I am”?
