The Correct Way to Seek Liberation

One should not go hard at liberation.

Doing so only reinforces the false conviction that one is now bound and one has to somehow extricate oneself from that bondage to get liberated.

Instead, one should take a gentle exploratory approach based on genuine curiosity and wonder as to what exactly is this liberation. Is there bondage? For whom is the bondage? Am I the one in bondage? Why there should be unhappiness at all? What is making me unhappy? What is the source of happiness?

Socrates said, “Philosophy begins in wonder.” The same can be said about spirituality.
