“We’ll have lunch and then hang out”


Those words I sometimes remember

They could have meant something plain

And perhaps that is what they meant

Two friends hanging out, chatting

Or being silent, as the mood suited;

All friendships have so much to give

Each friend in that friendship can’t imagine;

In the embrace of letting be, which is how it is,

These friendships dwelling in freedom of sorts

Can bestow upon one a certain freedom

That is rarely found anywhere else.
