Just before losing consciousness at his doctor’s home in Cambridge, the Austrian-British philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein told the doctor’s wife: “Tell them I’ve had a wonderful life.”
I am afraid I will not be able to say any such thing. If at all anyone is in earshot at my deathbed, I am more likely to say, “Tell them I’ve had a miserable life.”
But, even with my half-knowledge of Advaita, I am more likely to chuckle and follow up on that sentence with “But who cares!” 🙂
